Welcome to the Daly Hospital Foundation
Gift Legacy Information and Inspired Giving

Organized in 1990, the Daly Hospital Foundation was created by a community member to help Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital, a not-for-profit, rural hospital to become a premier healthcare facility for the residents and guests of Ravalli County, Montana. Thank you for your interest in the Daly Hospital Foundation and Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. I am Ron Kullick, Director of the Foundation. My hope and goal is to serve and help you and your family with helpful information regarding the benefits of gift legacy planning. Gift legacy planning or planned giving is a term commonly used to describe a variety of charitable giving vehicles that allow an individual to give to a charity during their lifetime or after death, while meeting income needs during life and providing for heirs. We have an increasing number of friends who are benefiting in several ways from life income gifts, gift annuities and other legacy planning tools while investing in the future of a cornerstone institution of our community.  Please contact me for further information, or if you have questions. Now, please explore and learn!

Pass Your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) Tax Free To Charity

If you are age 70 ½ or more mature, Congress has recently passed and President Bush has signed into law a provision which enables you to rollover tax free your RMD in an amount of up to $100,000 directly to a non-profit charity such as the Daly Hospital Foundation. Such distributions from your IRA will not be considered income, providing you the advantage of a 100% charitable contribution without itemizing your deductions. This tax free rollover gift opportunity will only exist for 2008 and 2009 unless further extended.

The gift of all or a portion of your RMD represents an opportunity to make a tax-wise charitable contribution that will provide the Daly Hospital Foundation with assets to  financially support Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital enabling it to continue to provide quality healthcare, close to homeTM well into the future. For more information on this limited tax saving opportunity, click here, or call me at 406-375-4674. If you prefer, you may send an email to rkullick@mdmh.org. I will be happy to discuss this and other legacy planning ideas that may be mutually beneficial to you and those you care about as well as the Daly Hospital Foundation.

Ron Kullick, Director
